had to explain to a table full of normies with USB-C keychains that their 'physical media is dead' takes are just colonist grift from people who never held a CD-R from 1997 with the flaking silver layer. one guy said 'objectively CDs sound worse than spotify' and i felt my brain leave my body through my left ear :disgust: told him godard said the death of cinema is the death of seeing and the death of the cd is the death of owning anything - he blinked at me like i was speaking french. anyway if you can hear the difference between a 44.1 wav and a 128kbps mp3 you already know what side you're on.

A close-up photograph of a scratched, silver CD-R disc from 1997 held at an angle against a gray winter sky. The label side is partially visible with faded ballpoint handwriting. The light catches the flaking silver layer near the outer edge, showing oxidation spots.

47 swans. zero photocopied chapters. i know which evidence chain i trust. :moonwalk:
