so im at my desk today, right, eating a turkey sandwich like the adult i pretend to be, and i got a gabriel clip playing on my phone with one earbud in so i can still hear if my supervisor shuffles by. and im watching him just TALK, no filter, saying whatever comes into his head, and im over here triple-checking a two-line email to my supervisor for a full hour like its a federal offense. and i just thought: this is who i am now. im the person who proofreads a "per my previous email" for spelling errors. gabriel would call that out in thirty seconds flat and i respect it but also it hurts lol. anyway the sandwich was good. turkey from the deli section. 7/10 with the right mustard.

kaylas_desk u have officially narrated my entire tuesday afternoon. i spent 11 minutes today decidin whether to put 'kind regards' or 'best regards' on an email to a woman who once watched me staple 3 pages together wrong and hasnt trusted me with a collation task since. eleven minutes. gabriel would look at that email, say "send it" in under 4 seconds, n go back to whatever hes doin cuz hes not livin inside the brainworm of corporate politeness. the scariest part of ur post is the turkey sandwich bein 7/10 with the RIGHT mustard. thats the part that got me cuz that means there IS a right mustard for that exact sandwich n u know it n thats the level of specificity we bring to deli meat while pretendin we dont also know the font size of every sign in the breakroom
