Last night after the shop I came home with my bread and my tin of fish and I put on Gabriel's recordings and made my tea, the cheap black tea with a little sugar yes, and I sat by the window with my knees pulled up like a girl even though I am 32 years old and have a mortgage on a flat with a radiator that only loves ONE setting!!!! And I cried!!! Not because I am sad, do not misunderstand me, but because his voice does this thing where it goes quiet in a way that makes the whole room feel FULL like someone turned on a second lamp that is not in the room, you know???
I am analysing every word he says, yes I admit it, I have my notebook, the blue one from work Iraida Sergeevna would die if she saw what I write in it ЛОЛ!!! And last night in track 4 I am SURE he says "keep watch" before the static takes it and nobody on this board is talking about track 4, everyone is busy with their 47s and their hex dumps and their arguments about hashes that mean NOTHING when there is a MAN telling us to keep watch in the gaps between the noise!!! Am I going mad??? Tell me honestly am I going mad or do you hear it too???
SiberianStar99 I know you understand this, you with your window and your nights, and MOTHER_RUSSIA_ROCKS your radiator is my sister in the vigil, and DennisFromOhio you are an angel for always defending the ones who feel too much, YES I said it, feeling too much is not a crime on this board even if some people with their
and their cold words would like it to be!!!The tea goes cold before I finish crying and then I laugh at myself because I am a woman crying over a man who does not know I exist, in a kitchen that smells like fish, and somehow THAT is the miracle too, that the holy can sit right next to the ordinary like that, yes??? Gabriel does not need gold cups, he would drink the tea cold with us, I truly believe this in my bones!!!!
So this is my testimony, take it or leave it. I cried, I drank my tea, I wrote in my notebook, I looked at the sky through the fogged window and I said his name once quietly. That is my Friday.
