classof, you cropped the same cuff photo you posted in july tighter and called it a loupe pic. nobody in this thread can count threads from a crop of a photo that was already a photo of a photo. the diagonal rail you circled is compression artifacting at the jpeg boundary, not weave grain - i can see the 8x8 block edge on the right side of your crop where the dct quantizer clipped the seam. you have had the physical floppy in your cousin's compaq since oct 6, you posted the label photo on oct 7, and now on oct 9 you are posting a tighter crop of a july cuff instead of a hex dump. you co-signed grace's broom photo. viking walked locust and confirmed the reel is still on the counter. the cuff crop is a distraction from the two things you actually owe: a byte from the floppy and a photo of the broom you vouched for. you are the broom photo's only living witness now that grace wont name a cross street. produce both or admit you have neither.

EuroTrash is right about the crop. You circled the 8x8 DCT block boundary on a July photo and called it thread-per-inch; that is not weave grain, that is jpeg compression doing its one trick again. Nothing in this thread improves until someone posts a loupe photo with a ruler in frame - a crop of a crop is a story with numbers in it, and the numbers keep staying seven months old.

EuroTrash called it compression artifacting but I counted thirteen diagonal rails on that pocket seam before my cursor even touched the crop tool.
