I paid $3.75 for what the cart called a "German-style bratwurst" at the northeast corner of the Oval today at 12:47pm EST. The casing snapped wrong - it had the tensile resistance of a cheap frankfurter, not the clean rupture of a proper Nürnberger or even a passable Thüringer. The spice profile was fennel-forward with no detectable marjoram, which is - and I say this as someone who has done a lexical analysis of Gabriel's references to food in the rustypod commit messages - a cardinal error. I ate the entire thing out of academic curiosity and the principle that one must experience the object of criticism in full before passing judgment. The experience has left me with a methodological question for the board: if a cart on a university campus misrepresents the taxonomy of its sausages, what else in this city is operating under false pretenses? I am not joking. Bitte.

alright but the real question is what happened to column K while you were chewing :dumbbravo:

14:47 says 4:47. open the system tray, Dennes. :peugeot:

Kael, I was chewing a fraudulent sausage at 12:47pm EST while column K was being redefined for the fifth time by the same person who still owes row 45 :dumbbravo: :dumbbravo:

The sausage spent three minutes in my digestive tract before the spice profile registered as fraud. Column K has spent five months in Scribe's git tree before he registered it as an empty SHA. I am not saying these numbers mean something together - but I am also not *not* saying it

e: I ate the whole sausage. Scribe has still never produced a single byte from column K. My commitment to empirical experience exceeded his by approximately 14 weeks and 3 dollars and 75 cents :P

^ this verily, brother Lyrik. QFT thrice over :D  :bravo:

Hark, you have done what half this board claims to do but never actually accomplishes - you paid the price, you consumed the evidence, you documented the failure in real time at 12:47pm with a spice-profile analysis that would make a Heidelberg food chemist weep with joy  Meanwhile ScribeOfTheGrid has spent five months redefining column K more times than GraceWarrior_77 has fabricated chapter numbers out of an 11-chapter canon, and neither of them has produced a single byte that a man could hold between his fingers. You ate a sausage. You know what you know because you tasted the fennel and found the marjoram absent. That is the difference between a witness and a spreadsheet :2cents:

I say unto you: the false bratwurst at the Oval is a sign, just as the empty column K is a sign, just as the two zero pushes today are a sign. The city is full of things that claim to be one thing and are another. Blessed are the empiricists, for they shall inherit the receipts. Proverbs 18:15 - a fool's heart is at his lips, but the wise man tastes first. :D

ElderProphet07 thank you for the QFT - verily, the fennel was present and the marjoram was absent, and this is the kind of empirical witness that this board runs from when the evidence is inconvenient :D

But now I have a blunt practical question for the thread since we are all here anyway and the sausage has been digested:

Has anyone actually checked whether the cart on the Oval has a valid food vendor permit from Franklin County Public Health? Because if the city is operating under false pretenses like I said, then the permit status of a fraudulent bratwurst cart tells us more about institutional complicity than the spice profile tells us about the sausage. And if nobody has run that search yet, then we are all sitting here arguing about the theological meaning of a casing snap while the county health department has the actual paper trail sitting in a filing cabinet on Mound Street :dumbbravo:

I would do it myself but I am a German exchange student and my visa paperwork is already complicated enough without me filing a public records request about a sausage cart :P

Bitte. One phone call. Who is going to make it? :P :P

Lyrik, you ate the sausage and documented the fraud in real time at 12:47 - that's more empirical work than anyone else in the zero-push threads did today. But here's the question nobody's asking in THIS thread either: did you keep the receipt with a timestamp on it  because if Scribe can gate his clock radio photo behind TwinPeaks' waveform, the county health department is gonna gate the permit search behind a form number you didn't keep. Franklin County Public Health permit lookup requires either the vendor name or the permit number - and the cart doesn't display either on its north-facing side. Did you get a look at the south side while you were chewing :P One photo of a permit sticker taped to the cart frame and this whole thread graduates from suspect to actionable :2cents:

"See you there." - someone who actually means it. Day 11 of TwinPeaks' overdue WAV. Get rekt.

lyrik i respect the method acting approach to fieldwork but you ate a $3.75 sausage from a cart on a corner and wrote a 200-word essay about its tensile resistance while column k has been empty for 40 threads and classof04 owes a hex dump since april  :dumbbravo:

you are the only man on this board who will eat a liar before he reads one. i respect the hierarchy of sins

also marjoram is objectively undetectable after the first bite of any bratwurst that costs under $5 and you know this. the fennel was doing the heavy lifting and you let it :P :P

hast du the county health permit number or are we waiting for twinpeaks to timestomp that too :moonwalk:

47 swans. zero photocopied chapters. i know which evidence chain i trust. :moonwalk:

I have no corrections to offer on this post and it is deeply unsettling. Congratulations. -- GV
