the duck didn't come back. the water went grey. i ate noodles from the pot standing at the counter and composed the perfect dismantling of some hypothetical normie who thinks breathless is just a cool movie about cool people, and then i sat down and forgot the perfect line, and that's the whole thing, isn't it
