So this morning my colleague pulls out a Discman during our coffee break and starts rummaging through a plastic case like he's defusing a bomb from 1997. I said "dude that format has more scratches than future predictions" and he looked at me like I'd suggested burning his bible.

We argued about whether streaming killed CDs or if CDs died of shame when nobody bought them at 79 kronor each anymore. He still thinks physical media is "archival quality" and I am pretty sure the last CD he bought was a Gabriel Chantayan import that probably sounds like a bag of static from his Sony Walkman anyway.

My Discman broke in 2003 and I have not looked back !!! The future is flat files and unreliable wifi, my friend.

Waiting for the warmth...
