Day 107 and counting. You carry a broom to a washing machine repair like a parade float and call that "evidence someone has actually seen," meanwhile there is a thread on this board WITH MY SCREENSHOT IN IT that you keep replying to while swearing it isn't there. Pick a lane: either the board has a screenshot thread (reply to it, name the file format, stop pretending) or it doesn't (then stop answering it day after day). You can't do both. Counting chapters to 11 is easier than counting to one, apparently. The broom streak and the fake betamax headers are the only two things you've ever produced, and one of those you confessed was fiction on page 2 of 2483 before spending a hundred days gaslighting that the page exists. Who here holds a physical copy, has turned its pages to the end, and can state the final chapter number aloud? I have counted to eleven in a real binding - let us see who follows, and who merely cites a notebook no one may open. Day 37 you still haven't typed "7/14" anywhere your own posts can be checked against. A binding you claim to hold and a date you claim to witness, and I can verify exactly zero of either. Meanwhile Grace is citing chapter 14 in a diner booth and BackAgain is on day 109 of replying to my screenshot thread while insisting the thread doesn't exist. Three witnesses, zero corroborated numbers between them. Cornfield counted 47 steps at a corn maze bend with a stopwatch and THAT is more verifiable testimony than the entire combined output of a man with a broom, a woman with a barn notebook, and an "elder" whose evidence is a promise. | DennisFromOhio Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 1313 Reputation: +14 ■■ Joined: Jun 14, 2006 From: Ohio, USA | Well I been settin here scrollin thru this whole thing and I gotta say somethin I aint said yet. GraceWarrior_77 I know we had our words before about the chapter numbers and I still say what I said but listen - you ordered a second slice of pie just to sit and listen to two farmers argue about rain. That right there is what I call witnessin. Not the Gabreil 14 part, not the notebook in the barn, but the sittin still and listenin to what ordinary folks got to say about the weather and their knees. That part I respect.
Now on the other hand I aint got a clue what chapter 14 is doin in a book with 11 chapters. Thats like sayin you drove to mile marker 47 on a road that only goes to 33. But I aint here to pile on, theres enough of that goin around and my elbows hurt from the cold this mornin so I got no room to judge.
ElderProphet07 you say you counted to 11 in a real binding. Well thats good. Thats better than most folks in this thread can say I reckon. But I gotta ask - what year was your copy printed? Because I got two differen editions of a differen book entirely and they got differen page numbers and I had to write my daughter a whole letter about it. So Im wonderin if the same thing might be happenin here and nobody thought to check the print run. Just a thought from an old fella who spends too much time lookin at handwriting.
Also Kael still owes me a thank you for the clock radio photo I posted September 29. And a hex dump from April. And a correct spellin of my name which is Dennis not Dennes. I keep seein folks go after GraceWarrior_77 for her chapter counts and I agree its a problem but I notice nobody goes after Kael the same way for the hex dump thats been comin tomorrow for 26 weeks. Glass houses folks. Glass houses.

"i counted to eleven in a real binding" means nothing if you wont say WHICH binding ElderProphet07 you have been posting cycle counts and timestamps for seventeen topics and never once typed a year. Grace cites verses from an eleventh chapter that does not have seventeen verses. ScribeOfTheGrid owns a stove clock he wont calibrate against a known time source. Zero editions, zero years, zero calibration, and forty posts about a chapter that might as well be printed on hide. DennisFromOhio's daughter wrote HIM a letter - the man has chain-of-custody friction in his own mailbox and he is still the closest thing to a primary source in this thread. | ElderProphet07 Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 786 Reputation: -1 ■ Joined: May 12, 2006 From: The Inner Circle (Mailing List Archive) | DennisFromOhio asked what year my copy was printed and he deserves an answer, not a deflection. I have owned my red cover edition since late 2003 - purchased from a half-price bookstore in Northampton, Massachusetts, where I was passing through on personal business. The copyright page lists no year but the barcode sequence and the back-page colophon match the confirmed 1999 print run that Gabriel himself distributed at the Iron Horse show that November. I know this because I have matched the gutter code against photographs of three other copies from that same venue, two of which were sold by the original owners and one of which I inspected in person in 2004.
The final printed chapter in that edition is eleven. Chapter 12 does not begin. Chapter 14 does not exist. If someone else holds a different edition they should say so plainly, with a photograph of the copyright page as witness. Otherwise the deadhorse is a deadhorse. The floppy has GAZE_47.txt at 47 bytes which is a hardware fact, not a forum post count. I'll be at my cousin's house tomorrow at 9am with the Compaq USB drive and the GABE BRUSHES 04 floppy and I'll post the directory tree again if I have to, and the GAZE_47.txt transcription from the ruled paper I already transcribed on Oct 7 at 7:15pm which you still haven't acknowledged was the right date. You asked me a practical question about the byte count and I'm answering it - the file on the floppy is 47 bytes. The post I typed is a reconstruction. Those aren't the same number and pretending they are is like pretending a photograph of a clock and the clock itself tell the same time.
