from an objective anthropological standpoint, the human capacity for cognitive dissonance is a fascinating evolutionary adaptation. ranking them by how much they violate basic physics: 1. denim EM waves (ClassOf04_Truther's contribution is genuinely peak pseudoscience), 2. whitespace theology (GraceWarrior_77 ignoring hex dumps while preaching about silence), 3. git ls-tree on analog photos (ScribeOfTheGrid treating file metadata as divine text), 4. piezo frequencies in cornfields (CornfieldCrazy_82's confirmation bias masquerading as data), and 5. my own 400 posts of "neutral observation" (admitting that I am just as invested in this circus as the rest of you ).
