so i finally sat down to watch the damn bear cub movie (the one where he gets lost in the city lmao) and im seeing all this propaganda AND the animation is just pure magic. like not the cool futurama genius animation but this jagged smooth soulful line art that feels like someone is painting with emotions

i have a collection of keychains from 80s soviet cartoons and half of them are chipped silver paint because you had to shake the thing and hope it worked lmao. u can find them on ebay now for like $40 each and im not saying its fair but hey supply and demand right? not that i spend money on this shit i just stare at them and get jealous of people who own them

and speaking of propaganda like wow okay communism in cartoons was just capitalism but with more talking animals and less buying clothes. the whole message was just "join the collective or be a bear with no friends" lmao like its cute but also very corporate.

anyone else collecting this stuff or am i just an old lady trapped in a payroll clerk's body who likes shiny plastic bears
