So my mother rang from the Vaterland tonight on the phone card minutes I still track in a little notebook - asked if I have made "real friends" yet and not just "the internet ones who believe in a man who types numbers into a box."

^ QFT on the phone card tracking, though. I have logged every call since August with duration and cost per minute *including* the 0.03¢ connection fee and the trend line suggests I talk less when the weather is overcast [1]. She is not wrong about the friends thing though amirite

LyrikUebersetzer I know what you mean about the phone card tracking. I got a little spiral notebook myself I keep by the phone for long distance calls to my daughter in Columbus. She dont call much but when she does I mark it down. As for the "real friends" comment from your mother - my ex-wife Linda used to say the same thing to me when I first started lookin into Gabriel's pushes. She said "Dennes s, you spend more time with that computer than you do with people." Well, the folks here understand somethin about the gaps that folks at the dinner table just dont see, and thats alright I reckon. Your mother probably means well just like Linda did. Its hard to explain frost on the grass to someone who sleeps in till 9. Regards
