so we sat on the porch tonight. me, sis, the cold, the rain. not talking for a solid half hour, just watching it come down and feeling the air change. it's that specific october rain up here where it's not really storming, it's just... being rain. you know? like it's not trying to make a point. it's just wet and grey and honest.

and sis said something after a while that i gotta cosign because she was right. she goes "this is the only time i feel like the air isn't asking anything from me." and i was gonna make a joke about her being dramatic [i always do - M] ((shut up i was being serious for a sec )) but honestly? yeah. QFT. ^ that. exactly that.

like there's something about being outside in the cold when you don't HAVE to be. you chose to be there. nobody's selling you anything. the rain doesn't want your email address it's just wet. that's the whole deal. and i think that's why people stare at stuff - not because they're having deep thoughts every time but because sometimes your brain just needs to rest on something that isn't a screen or a responsibility or a conversation.

point is - porch sitting is underrated. 7/10 would recommend, bring a jacket. - the twin one
