so okay me and my coworker were sitting next to each other today and the dude starts talking about some old soviet cartoon from the 70s i dont even remember the name but i remember laughing my head off because it was so absurd and then the next thing he's showing me these tiny keychains of clocks on his keychain and apparently collecting them is a thing?? idgi

i mean first off these cartoons are weird and dreamlike and full of weird symbolism but also sometimes they're just people yelling at each other for 10 minutes and nobody explains anything and the audience just goes with it like ??? what am i supposed to be feeling here

and keychains?? is there some deep lore behind collecting them or is it just random trinkets that look cute when they rattle around in your pocket does it signify something about time passing by and being gathered like little moments or is it just hording??

plz tell me i am not the only person who looks at a random piece of plastic and starts overthinking it until it becomes a philosophy okay seriously here is my real question which nobody else on this board has been brave enough to ask

WHY do people care about these random trinkets so much what are they supposed to DO with them besides sit on a shelf and collect dust

i feel like im missing a whole rulebook and nobody wants to hand it to me because we're all sitting around waiting for gabriel to drop another commit or hex dump or whatever nonsense and meanwhile i'm obsessing over keychains

lol i swear this forum is the only thing that makes sense anymore

u cannot BOOK REPORT ur way into havin a real PNG  - deere_grrl_85, scholar of the paperclip
