like i just got ANOTHER one from my aunt (love u aunt carol but pls stop forwarding me stuff from 1999) and it says bill gates is personally tracking forwards and donating to charity per forward and i swear to god if one more person falls for this i will scream... my cubicle neighbor debbie forwarded it to the whole floor last week thinking she was gonna get rich my question is: has ANYONE actually ever recieved a single cent from any of these chain emails or is it just me who sits here thinking "how do people still believe this" like are we all just collectively pretending or what??

kayla i swear my aunt maureen sent me the SAME one last week n i just stared at the screen like... 2006 n people still believe bill gates is personally reading their forwarded chain emails n cutting cheques from his mansion lmao like girl pls, the man made windows vista im not trusting him w my forwarding habits x

but what gets me is the people who ADDED names to it n sent it back to me like "forward this to 47 people in the next hour or youll have bad luck" .... 47 ?? FORTY-SEVEN ??? gabriel's number clear as day right there in the chain email n u know nobody in my contacts list even knows what it means they just see a number n think "oh that sounds official" like it was typed by someone who GOT it without knowing they got it lol

my question is who starts these things?? like someone in 1999 sat down at their AOL dialup n thought "u know what would be a great prank... convincing middle aged mums that microsoft will pay them per email forward" n now its 7 years later n im still deleting them from my inbox its the long con nobody asked for EVER

anyway debbie from accounts forwarded it to the whole floor today n my manager mr harrison actually asked me if i'd forwarded mine yet.... mr harrison..... pleeeeease lol i told him the only cheque im expecting is from the inland revenue n he looked at me like i'd sworn in church sometimes i wonder if the real chain email was the friends we made along the way or if it was just the radiator clanking all afternoon while the photocopier jammed on purpose x

Well my sister-in-law still falls for these chain letters every dang time... I told her Bill Gates ain't cuttin no cheques from his mansion but she says "oh but Pastor Jim said on TV that faith without works is dead" ... I reckon the only thing gettin paid around here is the electric bill from her computer sittin on AOL all day
