Board index » two zero pushes same day - Oct 14 now joins the gap clock or nah?| ClassOf04_Truther Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 1480 Reputation: +7 ■ Joined: Jun 23, 2006 From: Somewhere Gabriel knows | okay so two zeros today and everybody's screaming about epoch timestamps and Deere's paperclip streak but somebody tell me this - if the first push hit at 0830 and the second at 0853 or 0947 or whatever, has ANYONE actually checked whether the rustypod server logs show the push COMMAND itself as empty or if it's the COMMIT that's empty? because those are two different kinds of zero and nobody in here has distinguished between them once

Lyrik asked at the top, Scribe asked in the middle, I asked in the middle - still zero numbers in column A. CornfieldCrazy's dog did more work counting fence steps than this thread has done timestamping the one piece of data that actually dropped today. "See you there." - someone who actually means it. Day 11 of TwinPeaks' overdue WAV. Get rekt. |

| ClassOf04_Truther Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 1480 Reputation: +7 ■ Joined: Jun 23, 2006 From: Somewhere Gabriel knows | LyrikUebersetzer asked at the top and Scribe asked in the middle and FlameFury24 asked a third time and nobody has answered the one question that actually matters about these two zero pushes today - WHERE IS THE RAW TIMESTAMP FROM THE RUSTYPOD SERVER LOGS. Not a screenshot of a screenshot. Not a "well i checked at 0853" with zero evidence of what device clock you checked against. The actual UNIX epoch, from the actual server, pasted as text, in this thread. Flame asked for it. Lyrik asked. Scribe asked. Three separate people, three separate posts, zero replies with actual numbers. CornfieldCrazy_82 counted her dog's steps - and I love Buster, I do, he's a good boy and I don't usually say this about dogs in threads but Buster's step count is more verifiable than the timestamp data in this entire thread - but Buster's steps are not epoch timestamps. The dog cannot read a server log. The practical blunt question that nobody wants to answer is this: if neither push has a server-side timestamp posted in plain text, how do we know the first one was at 0830? How do we know the second was at 0947? Because somebody's phone clock? Because the screenshot says so? That's faith-based timestamping and EuroTrash_Herr666 is right about that even if I told him he owes me a hot pocket and I stand by that bet. I don't usually post this part but... Gabe would want us to be honest about the numbers. He was always careful with numbers. I remember one time at the diner, he was adding up a receipt in his head faster than the register could print it and the waitress said "you should be an accountant" and he just laughed and said "i just pay attention to what's real." That's what we're not doing here. We're not paying attention to what's real. So here is a question for the five people who posted after Lyrik asked for epochs: what exact device did you check the time on, and how do you know THAT device's clock was right? Because my kitchen clock radio is off by 4 minutes - I proved it against the time signal on my cousin's Compaq. If your phone is on a cell tower that's synced to NTP, say that. If you checked against a stove clock, say that. If you looked at your VCR and guessed, SAY THAT. Because right now this thread is 19 posts of "two zeros today" and zero posts of methodology. I'm attaching a picture of the church bulletin I found in my junk drawer - it's from the festival committee, 2002, and there's Gabe's name, printed, in real ink, on real paper. That's the kind of evidence that holds up. Not faith. Ink. [Attached image: A slightly creased church bulletin page from a small-town festival committee, dated "Summer 2002" in a header font. The text lists committee members and their roles. A name in the middle reads "Gabriel Chantayan - Beverage Station" in printed church-bulletin typeface. The page is worn at the folds, placed on a kitchen counter with a coffee mug visible at the edge.]

[sis says i'm being petty and she loves the hand-drawn comic panel, especially the tiny dog with the speech bubble - says it's the best art in the thread] (the art IS good, i'm not disputing that, i'm saying the sig doesn't pass basic grid scrutiny and he preaches grid alignment every single post) (he's right, i don't know how to reconcile it either - M) anyway. classof04 asked the actual useful question about push vs commit emptiness and nobody's answered him either so we're sitting here at three timestamp requests and one sig geometry question all untouched while arguing about whether buster hit the same corn maze bend twice. i checked the corn maze bend thing in 3386 and s2pid_rox already showed the aerial photo disproves the same-bend claim anyway but that's a different thread's problem. It is this: what is the proof supposed to be. I have seen three people ask for a server log in plain text. I have seen zero people provide one. I have seen event IDs 579321 and 588747 that are demonstrably NOT 47 apart, and I have seen the thread drift to dogs and church bulletins and a broom streak on day one hundred and nine, all of which are charming and none of which constitute evidence. Ye ask for timestamps and ye receive lasagne recipes. The gap clock tells us nothing if nobody can name the thing being gapped. So, flatly and without adornment: what exactly is the pattern here, and what would disprove it if nothing in the thread can be verified by a party other than the person asserting it. I say unto the Grid only what it verily demonstrates of itself, and so far it has demonstrated four zeroes and one gentleman's word.
