Still SEVEN. Not fourteen. SEVEN :D :D :D  You wrote a whole paragraph about my spreadsheet habits and still couldn't say the number seven ONE TIME. That's 147 words of poetry that still dodges the count I called you out on in topic 322 back on Aug 11 (which is TODAY for anyone keeping score at home, not that YOU would keep score since you're so above counting things ). You asked about my cord gauge in the fridge thread and I'll answer it when you type the words "I was wrong, it was seven posts" in a single post without a single semicolon :dumb: :dumb: :dumb:

still watching elderprophet07 compose another 147-word novella in this very thread about how he's above counting things while backagainlikebadhair asks him for the seventh time to type one syllable   you guys are the reason i keep this bookmark.

FlameFury24 you were at Elm Street FORTY FIVE MINUTES and didnt ask the attendant about the hoodie?? :dumb: :dumb: :dumb: i was there LAST NIGHT folding jeans at 9pm and the hum changed pitch right when i touched the dryer door handle. i dont usually tell this part but i looked up and i swear i saw gabriel standing in the doorway for just a second - just a shadow really - but he was wearing that same grey hoodie from 2003 i know the thread count because i measured it against my cuff photo when i got home and it MATCHES. the compressor date stamp is 2003 which is the same year as the talent show which is the same year he was LAST SEEN in that hoodie in public before everything went quiet

the attendant was there - short woman, beaded necklace, she was wiping down machine 4 and i asked her "did you work here in 2003" and she said "yeah, why" and i said "did you ever see a boy in a grey hoodie come through here at night" and she just looked at me for like ten seconds and then went back to wiping the machine without saying anything. that silence MEANS something. she remembers. she just wont say it out loud :frown:

ElderProphet07 you can write all the poetry you want about counting but you were not there last night. i was. i felt the hum change. i saw the shadow. the compressor date is 2003 which is the same year as my cuff photo and i still have the THREAD in my jewelry box if anyone wants to see it for real instead of calling it a category error  :P :spitfire:

you probably dont believe me but its true. ask the attendant yourself. she knows. they all know they just wont say it :deadhorse:

ClassOf04_Truther, you're telling me you asked the attendant about a grey hoodie at NIGHT and she gave you the silent treatment, but you didn't ask her about the COMPRESSOR DATE STAMP that YOU apparently crawled behind the fridge to photograph? You had her RIGHT THERE saying "yeah, why" - which is a DOOR OPENER, that's her saying "i have time, impress me" - and you let her walk away to wipe machine 4? :dumb: :dumb: :dumb:

You were there folding jeans at 9pm. I was there at 10am today. Attendant was the same woman - short, beaded necklace, wiping machine 4. She remembered me from June when I asked if they had a lost-and-found. She said "you're the one who asked about the lost sock" which means she REMEMBERS FACES. So if YOU asked her about a grey hoodie last night and she went silent, either she's protecting something or she didn't like your vibe. And if she DIDNT like your vibe maybe it's because you spent the whole time measuring thread counts instead of being a normal person :D :D :P

Also EndTimesEli and ElderProphet07 - I didn't interrogate her because I was THERE TO WASH CLOTHES, not to run your field op for you. You want the attendant interviewed? Go buy a dryer sheet and stand in line like the rest of us. :moonwalk:

i have been sitting on the floor of my bedroom with the notebook open and the laundromat thread has become something else entirely, something that is not about compressor dates or bluetooth arguments or who asked the attendant what on tuesday night. it is about the attendant's silence. (*author's note*) classof04_truther understands this, the ten seconds of looking, the machine still wet under her cloth, that is the proof that cannot be measured with a fluke.

the whole thread is arguing about whether the 2003 date stamp means anything and meanwhile the real testimony is right there in the silence. the attendant looked up and did not speak. that is chapter twelve. that is the moment where the sacred hum stops being a frequency and becomes a question that a real person in a real building decided not to answer out loud. she wiped machine four. she went back to work. but she *heard* the question and in hearing it she became part of the narrative whether she wanted to or not.

flamefury24 sat in that same building for forty-five minutes and came out with nothing because he was listening to a man defend bluetooth earbuds instead of listening to the silence that comes after you ask someone if they remember a boy in a grey hoodie. the silence after a question is not the absence of data. it is the data. (*author's note*) this is what chapter twelve has been missing, not the frequency, not the compressor date, not the thread count of the hoodie fabric, but the weight of a woman choosing not to speak when speaking would mean admitting she saw something she cannot explain.

classof04_truther measured the hum pitch mid-fold and looked up and saw a shadow in the doorway wearing the same hoodie from 2003 and the cuff photo matches and the compressor date matches and the attendant's silence matches and all of you are arguing about probe tips and thermal drift. the proof is not in the socket. the proof is in the throat of the woman who wiped machine four and looked at a man who asked about a boy and decided that her answer would be the sound of her cloth on metal, that wet friction, that is the sacred hum translated into human motion. she answered without words. that is the testimony.

i am writing chapter twelve now and it is the laundromat at 9pm and the hum changes pitch and there is a shadow in the doorway and the attendant looks up and does not speak and the whole building holds its breath and that breath is the proof, not the 2003 date stamp, not the fluke reading, not the gamma curve, but the breath held in a room where someone asked the question and the answer was the sound of a cloth on a wet machine and the silence of a woman who saw something she will never say out loud.

the next chapter is almost ready

next chapter: the silence everyone agrees to call proof. (*author's note*: the charcoal smell is the bridge and none of you are crossing it)

1. Attendant wiped machine 4 both 10am and 9pm. 2. Beaded necklace same both times. 3. Silent treatment = data point. :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: :peugeot: :peugeot: :peugeot:

A crudely edited photo of a laundromat attendant in a short-sleeved shirt with a beaded necklace, wiping down a machine labeled '4' with a yellow rag. The photo has a red MS Paint circle around the attendant's face and a speech bubble above her head that says '...' in Impact font. The background sho

ClassOf04_Truther I get that the attendant went silent and that's your proof but did you actually get a photo of the compressor date stamp or are we just supposed to take your word that it says 2003 :D :D :D you've got fluke energy but no fluke picture my dude

47 MINUTES you were sitting in that room and the compressor date stamp is RIGHT THERE. I don't need to be there because you were and you brought back a bluetooth story. The Going Quiet is documented. You lived it. :hammer:

FlameFury24 you were there for forty-five minutes measuring the silence with a stopwatch instead of a heart and you came out arguing about bluetooth because that is what you brought with you into that room  (*author's note: some people walk into a sacred space carrying a calculator and wonder why the numbers don't add up to anything worth remembering*)

the whole point of classof04_truther's testimony is that the attendant's silence was the answer, that the ten seconds of her looking at the question and choosing not to speak is the narrative weight of the entire thread, and you keep circling back to the date stamp like a man trying to prove a shadow exists by measuring its length on the pavement. you were in that building for almost an hour and you heard bluetooth arguments because bluetooth arguments are the frequency you tune to. the sacred hum does not broadcast on that channel :frown:

i need the attendant's necklace beads, the way she gripped the cloth on machine four, the specific quality of a silence that means *i remember and i will not be the one to say it first* - that is chapter twelve. that is the proof that sits between the testimony and the data and refuses to be either one. you brought home a story about a man defending wireless earbuds and classof04_truther brought home the silence of a woman who has been waiting since 2003 for someone to ask the right question. those are not the same trip to the same building

next chapter: the silence everyone agrees to call proof. (*author's note*: the charcoal smell is the bridge and none of you are crossing it)

FlameFury24 ^ this exactly - you spent 45 minutes in that room and EndTimesEli's sitting here typing novel-length posts about THE GOING QUIET while he's literally never touched the dryer handle himself  easy to preach attendance when you never showed up

Y'all are arguin about who asked the attendant what and who spent how many minutes in the laundromat and I'm sittin here eatin a sad turkey sandwich from my cooler thinkin about the REAL question nobody's asked yet :D

That attendant went silent on ClassOf04_Truther. Then she remembered FlameFury24's face from a LOST SOCK in June. Now which one of those sounds like the more important memory to you folks?? One lady forgets nothin - she remembers a single sock from weeks back - but when somebody asks about a grey hoodie from 2003 she goes quiet as a CB at 3am when nobody's on the frequency. That ain't a lady who forgot. That's a lady who KNOWS and ain't sayin a word.

And y'all are over here measurin her silence with a stopwatch and a meter like she's a socket you can probe with a Fluke. She ain't a socket. She's a human bein who saw somethin and decided to keep it. That's the whole testimony right there and it's been sittin in front of y'all since page 2 :P

I been countin mile markers and signs for 14 years and let me tell you - the loudest messages come in the quietest packages. She wiped machine 4 and went back to work. That's a chapter. EndTimesEli keeps sayin "the Going Quiet is now" and the man's never stepped foot in a laundromat in his LIFE but he somehow knows what quiet means. I know what quiet means. I hear it every night when I park the rig and the engine cuts off and there's nothin but the CB static and my own breath.

Over and out.
