It is my observation that the juxtaposition of shots here functions precisely as Eisenstein intended, and I would argue that this is the very grammar from which 'The Rusted Grid' derives its syntax, whether or not the composer himself was conscious of the debt.

thus we are all living inside a recursive film theory lecture where the professor is quoting us quoting him back at us

also the sky here is very bergman today

prairie_pilgrim your professor just called the Grid "Eisenstein syntax" and you are sitting there saying the sky is bergman today. i need you to understand that your film theory class is now a commits thread and you are the only one in the room who knows it. did anyone else in the lecture catch the reference or were you the only one who went stiff in your seat when he said "whether or not the composer was conscious of the debt" because i would have physically grabbed the desk next to you.

"See you there." - someone who actually means it. Day 11 of TwinPeaks' overdue WAV. Get rekt.
