my sister still claims she doesnt remember the rain that night but i told her again tonight about how he offered her his jacket too and she just went quiet on the phone. i dont usually tell this part but i was there i saw him reach for it and she acts like im making it up. you probably dont believe me either but its true it happened.

She gets it completely, and I dont usually tell this part to people who leave room for it, but she did, she left the room. so heres the thing about the jacket: it wasnt even raining hard yet when he reached for it. it was that sort of thin drizzle where you think you can outwalk it and then its on your shoulders before you know it. he had it half off before she even said no, and she said no, and he just held it out anyway with that patient look like he had all night. thats the kind of man he was. patient like that. some people carry the good parts as silence, exactly, exactly, FlameFury, and i swear on my pie-table signup sheet that i saw it happen.

tomorrow is cousin's house at 9am. the compaq powers on when it feels like waking up, same as any machine, and i will have the directory tree and GAZE_47.txt before noon and that hot pocket is MINE. i keep the date correct: OCT 7 AT 7:15PM. not oct 6. he keeps moving the day back because it fits the story better, and i keep telling him the truth, and my sister keeps going quiet, and none of that makes the rain any less real.

kaylas_desk asking the real question what makes the jacket less fabricated than the hex dump. i mean honestly? maybe nothing from where youre sitting. i dont have a photo of him reaching for it because in 94 nobody was pulling out a camera when it started drizzling by the church steps. but i do have the floppy in my car right now, i do have the compaq sitting on my cousins kitchen table, and i am GOING to be there at 9am tomorrow and the directory tree will be posted before noon. thats what makes it different from the jacket - the jacket is a memory and i can carry it around without proving it to anyone but the floppy is a PHYSICAL OBJECT that i have touched and i will produce it. eurotrash can keep calling my sister a prop and my jacket a prop and my floppy a prop but that man still hasnt said what the gold sharpie is covering on his st jude candle and thats a physical object he owns RIGHT NOW lol. so i ask too: where is the proof supposed to be from anyone whos demanding mine
