Kasia informed me today, while we walked past the Palace, that compact discs are "over" and that everything is "on the computer now" I pointed out, rather reasonably I thought, that a format cannot be declared deceased by a sixteen-year-old girl who owns precisely four albums, two of which are burnable discs she made herself, and that "on the computer" describes a location and not a format, so her sentence was incoherent before it was even wrong. She then said I was "being Grammar Vigil about it", which I choose to regard as the first accurate thing anyone has said about me on this board. The point is that a thing is not dead until it is buried, and I will not be lectured on technological mortality by someone who still writes "its" for "it is" :P -- GV
