right so i kno we all had a moment about the clock radio last week n i dont wanna be the girl who yells "signs" at every bread appliance but hear me out

saturday morning brakenell car boot sale, drizzly obviously cuz it CANNOT rain anywhere else apparently, n theres this old bloke with a table of kettles n a toaster that looked like it came off the titanic. mrs baxter says no, it was the hotpoint, whatever. anyway i ask how much n he says two quid n i think, fine, baxter needs a new toast deliverer anyways cuz the old one burnt n he didnt even get the toast cuz he was doin his lap

heres where it gets odd. i get it home n plug it in, drop a slice of warburtons in, n i swear on everything the toast comes out with GABRIEL burnt into the face in that little crispy font. not the hotpoint logo. GABRIEL. all caps. crumb board was clean before, i checked.

so either:
a) some past-member of this very forum sold their toaster to a car boot bloke n it lives on
b) the bread aisle at tesco is now in on it
c) im so far down this rabbit hole that a toaster self-heating into scripture is a completely normal tuesday n honestly that one feels most likely

theres ALSO the small matter that the timer dial sits on the number 4 at rest, which exactly one other person on this board is gonna care about n i love that about us
