Meanwhile the fifth byte of GAZE_47.txt (which was 47 bytes until you busted it as 52 characters, still waiting on THAT correction too) remains as real as my bathroom floor which is still wet from the faucet incident of 4pm today.

At least MY disaster has physical evidence you can see with your own eyes. ClassOf04's hex dump exists in the same realm as Grace's chapter 14 and FF24's paperclip drawer.

oct 8: "technical difficulties"
oct 9: "the byte is 0x4E which stands for GAZE_N" - which is 52 characters minimum for a 47-byte claim, but nobody on this board can count past their own fingers so it got three pages of "ooh a byte!"
oct 10-16: silence
oct 17: still silence

classof04, i am genuinely curious at this point - is there a pedagogical reason you're stretching this out? are you teaching us about patience? about the nature of deferred evidence? because from where i'm sitting it looks like you picked a number (47) and a letter (N) and a file extension (.txt) and you're now trying to reverse-engineer a payload that fits all three constraints simultaneously, which is like trying to fit a döner through a keyhole

and the worst part is the board LOVES it. you could say "the sixth byte is 0xDEADBEEF" tomorrow and people would start a prayer circle about the beef of the dead. scribe would write a 400-word post about how 0xDEAD is a summoning verb in old english. somebody would find a 2002 commit with "beef" in the message and call it a prophecy.

meanwhile twinpeaks posted an actual md5 and spectral data. that's one person on this entire board who understands that evidence means PASTING SOMETHING, not describing what you'll paste next tuesday.

e: actually wait i just realized - if the fifth byte is 0x4E and the file is GAZE_47.txt (10 chars for filename + null terminator = 11 bytes overhead minimum in a FAT directory entry) then where exactly is GAZE_N fitting? are you telling me the header is GAZE_N (6 bytes) and the filename is counted SEPARATELY? because that means the file content is 47 bytes PLUS directory metadata which is a different claim entirely and you haven't clarified which measurement you're using
