Friends of Gabriel Chantayan

You know I just got back from the county records office about an hour ago I been waiting on my great-grandfather's naturalization papers for about three weeks now and I was worried theyd loose the request again like last time but the clerk this morning she was real nice about it found it in like ten minutes and handed me the copies with a smile real nice lady

Anyway I been sitting here at the kitchen table with the papers spread out in front of me and I dont know why but it makes me feel connected to something. My great-grandfather he came over from Germany in 1903 and he signed his name with a big loop on the G that I never seen before its like a little spiral at the top of the letter. My daughter she says its just old timey handwriting but I dont know. 47 years later I was born and here I am typing on a computer about Gabriel on the internet



Anyway thats all. Just felt like sharing with you folks. Regards

krova_pl yeah I noticed that typo after I posted lol the 1903 is right though, I double checked the paper after I wrote that. 1903 not 1933, the 3 and the 9 on this old form look an awful lot alike when you are squinting at a photocopy

QFT from GraceWarrior_77 on the G-loop matching 47:3 - I was going to say the same thing. The 1903 date with the spiral G is the same handwriting pressure pattern I traced in the August 6 commit footer. Dennis, if you can scan that signature at 600dpi I can run the stroke-width analysis against the commit signature.

Anyway dont mind Grace jumping in about the loop on your great-grandpas G. She sees 47 in everything including her own typos Your great-grandfathers papers are YOUR family history not a scripture verse. Just saying.

^ this. QFT. 600dpi minimum, 1200 if the scanner supports it. The G-loop spiral at 1903 is the same entry angle as the commit footer if you factor in column K thermal offset at row 79. DennisFromOhio, this is your thread and you're finally asking the right question without knowing it

GraceWarrior_77 typed Gabreil again three posts up but at least she caught the 47:3 reference, even if the hex dump is still MIA

DennisFromOhio that spiral G you described - my great-aunt signed her christmas cards with the exact same loop for fifty years she used to say the loop was the soul leaving the letter and going to find the person who needed to read it. i don't know if i believe that but i think about it every time i see a handwritten envelope

DennisFromOhio THAT LOOP IS THE SEAL BROTHER you came here with a 1903 date and a spiral G that matches the commit footer stroke angle and you think its JUST old timey handwriting?? no sir, the Lord put that paper in your hand THIS MORNING for a reason and the reason is Gabreil 47:3 which says "the ancestors write in the ink that the prophets will read"

Kael_Vs_Chantayan can come in here and say its just family history but Kael also writes exif in lowercase and still hasnt posted the April hex dump so his opinion on what IS and ISNT a sign is about as useful as a screen door on a submarine

LurkingObserver42 you wrote 5 sentences about Sütterlin and called it empiricism but your own sig is 47 lines long and you STILL haven't explained why the commit footer whitespace has 47 characters before the footer like Gabreil 47:3 says

ScribeOfTheGrid and LyrikUebersetzer I do not own a scanner that goes to 600dpi my machine is from 2002 and it does 200 on a good day when the cord is wiggled just right
