EuroTrash - you opened one and found cardboard, but did you flip it over yet? If the back has glue ghosting the tape was there once. If both sides are blank then it's a factory shim that got sharpied after the fact. One is a vessel that held something and lost it. The other is a blank that got promoted to relic by a marker. I think which one it is changes the whole bucket.

TwinPeaks, I have to say, I respect the flip-the-spacer question, its a good question, but i got a bucket myself out in the shed that come from the old radio shop in town and every single one of em has 47 wrote on em in a different sharpie color, so either there is a whole LOT of yall out there writin 47 on cardboard or somebody at the factory had a real sense of humor about the whole thing and now im gonna be thinkin about that glue ghost all afternoon while im tryin to change the porch bulb i came home with, so thanks for that hope the spacer answers you straight, thats more than some of us get around here, regards, Dennes
