Standing at the kitchenette counter with the noodles gone cold and half the jar of sauce still open, I have now reread 'the river behind the feed store' approximately forty-one times across three separate evenings, and the atlas checks out twice over - the geography is sound, the Olentangy is real, the feed store is real - but the question nobody in any of these threads has actually answered, bluntly: if this line is literal, why does he say 'behind' and not 'beside'? The feed store sits on the west bank, the water is directly adjacent, there is no building between it and the current. 'Behind' implies the river was, at some point, at his back - he was facing the feed store, not looking at the river at all. Which makes it not a description of a place but a description of a stance, a man turned away from the water, and that - that changes whether this is geography or baptism [1]. Has anyone actually checked the older bank survey from before the 1996 flood channel, or have we all just accepted 'behind' as ornamental?

A photo of a dorm kitchenette counter: a plate of now-cold white spaghetti with tomato sauce congealed at the edges, an open jar of store-bought marinara sauce beside it, and a small spiral notebook open to a page dense with handwriting, the words 'the river behind the feed store' underlined three t

D00D LYRIK. U sit there with a plate of cold spaghetti n a spiral notebook diagramming whether "behind" means the man was turned away from the Olentangy n whether thats geography or baptism, three separate evenings, forty-one rereads, atlas checks out twice over. Thats REAL dedication to the literal word, Ill give u that. REAL attention to detail. U can tell us all about the west bank n the flood channel of 1996 n whether the feed store faces the current or has its back to it.

So with THAT much rigor in ur tiny little notebook, heres the question that has been sitting on MY kitchen counter for THREE MONTHS, same cold spaghetti, same congealed sauce, and u have dodged it every single time:

WHAT CITY WAS THE YARD SALE.

The GE clock radio. Thread 3257. THREE MONTHS. U finally answered the 51 vs 47 dial question after I had to drag it out of u, but u STILL wont name the city or the address. U said "TwinPeaks yard sale" like that answers anything. U post dining hall rumors with zero city names. U can spend forty-one rereads on one preposition in one line thats probably just Gabriel describing a feed store he saw ONCE, but u cant tell me which town had the clock that said the number.

The difference between u n me Lyrik is that I care about the actual EVIDENCE and u care about the PRETEND rigor of a pasta-stained notebook. TALK TO THE DEERE

FF24 still owes me a GE yard sale city name n a 51vs47 answer. 3 months n countin. :spitfire: TALK TO THE DEERE

Lyrik 1996 flood channel re-routed the bank by 14 feet, the 1987 survey is the one you need, not the topo map you're citing

COLUMN K OR GTFO -- COUNTIF trade still open Grammar_Vigil -- rustypod resolves to 0x2F, check your XOR

1992 USGS quad, not 1987 survey, for the pre-channel bank.

A section of a USGS topographic quadrangle map, folded open on a dorm desk. The map shows the Olentangy River and a labeled feed store building. A yellow highlighter marks the riverbank line. The map date reads '1992' in the bottom margin. A small plastic compass sits on the corner of the map.

Lyrik, friend, you can map a preposition for forty-one nights but still hide the yard sale city behind "TwinPeaks" - that quiet aint sacred... that's just a dodge.

DEERE_GRRL_85: the answer is still TwinPeaks, which is not a name I made up to be cute - it is what the people running the sale called it, and I have written down the cross street in my notebook and will paste the exact intersection when I have confirmed the street sign has not been replaced since 2002. Bitte. The yard sale clock is real. The feed store is real. I am simply slower than you want me to be
