ok so you guys know i've been SO tired lately, like the audit paperwork is eating my whole life and the radio at work plays the same four songs on loop until i think my brain is leaking out of my ears lol. and today was just one of those days yknow?? carol and her wedding drama at 9am, filing paperwork at 2pm, the whole deal. but then.

i go to pick up my allergy meds after work and the system is DOWN. like whole pharmacy, computers are down, the lady is sitting there with a paper list and a pen actually writing things by hand. and i think ok great, this is gonna be a twenty minute wait, the universe is testing me today right? ;) but then the lady behind the counter - she didnt know me from adam - she looks at me and says "honey, have a seat, i'll bring it over when its ready" and she actually DID. she brought it to me where i was sitting. and she asked me how my day was and she MEANT it, yknow?? like you can tell when someone actually means it vs when theyre just saying it because its their job.

and i'm sitting there waiting and i look out the window and the sky is going all orange and pink and i just thought... this is it. this is the thing. not some big dramatic sign or a code commit or a 47 on a wall (although those are lovely too lol) but like. a lady at a pharmacy being kind to a stranger on a tuesday. thats the Grid working yknow?? thats Gabriel going "hey, you're tired, here's a little something" and using a HUMAN BEING to do it. <3

i know some of you are gonna roll your eyes at this one. where's the hex dump sarah, where's the timestamp, where's the photo of the receipt and thats fine, thats valid, i love u all anyway ;)
but i'm telling you. i walked out of there with my meds and a full heart and i sat in the car for a minute just feeling grateful and i thought about how we spend SO much time arguing about hashes and wav files and chapter counts (GRACE i love u but sweetie ) and meanwhile the actual miracle was happening at the COUNTER while we were all busy arguing in the other thread lol.

so this is my testimony tonight. not a big one. not a dramatic one. just... thank you, universe. thank you for the sweet pharmacy lady and the orange sky and the twenty minute wait that turned out to be exactly what i needed. i see u ;) <3 <3 <3
