ok so i read the whole line 47 thread with the cold spaghetti and the notebook and like... the pasta went cold because pasta goes cold? :confused: you left it on the counter my guy, that's not a sign from gabriel thats just lunch lol :D where's the proof its anything besides physics y'know? <3

CornfieldCrazy_82 - you are not wrong. The pasta went cold because pasta goes cold. I concede this point to thermodynamics entirely :D

BUT - I maintain that the act of *noticing* it went cold while reading line 47 for the forty-first time is not nothing. The sign is not the cold pasta. The sign is that I was still reading line 47 at all. That is the part I cannot explain away with a kitchen timer.

v. 2.3 of my translation now includes a footnote about the specific heat capacity of durum wheat semolina. Danke for the peer review.
