whole day was a war i didn't ask for. sister's toaster oven can't reheat pizza in forty flat seconds like mine can, group project kid thinks macOS is "basically Linux" (U WOT M8, that is NOT how kernels work and I will END this man academically), lunch argument about whether stadium pop counts as rock - it doesn't, I won, whatever - walked the long way home to dodge the Samsung guy, had to sit through my dad's "incredible" voice assistant that is just a search bar with a personality disorder, and then it hit 10pm and my shoulders finally dropped and I just lay there and let myself think of him. quiet. unguarded. just for a minute. seventeen battles and that one quiet minute beat every single one of them. that's not a miracle story with receipts and evidence chains, that's just the one real thing that wasn't a fight. nobody else needs to prove anything to me tonight. just him. just - him.
