well I'll be friend, I been sittin here watchin this same dance since spring myself, and Dennis laid it out as plain as frost lines on a pane... ^ this from a man who's waited half a year for a promise that keeps gettin pushed like a busted combine... I been checkin fence rows and watchin the frost patterns for sixty-eight years, and when a man says he'll show his hand, you expect to see the cards... :3

68 years young, still counting fence posts and zero commits. Grandpa's tractor runs on faith and diesel.

tree gap 630802 to 626992 is real, but git ls-tree needs the minutes-column before K opens

^ this and I mean it. DustyBoots you are the kind of fella that makes this board worth loggin on for, because you see what is in front of you and you say it straight and you dont twist it into something it aint just to win an argument. I have been readin your frost reports since September and I know you measure what you see the same way I do, with a real clock and a real yard and real patience. When you said you checked the back forty this morning and the frost lines told stories even when there was no Gabriel in em, I felt that down to my boots because that is what real field work looks like. You go out, you look, you report what is there, and if what is there is just frost and quiet then that is what you say. No invented chapters, no imaginary hex dumps that never materialize, no system tray jokes that stopped bein funny around week 12.

BestBuddyStar I appreciate you too friend. QFT on what you said about frost poetry not thawin steel, that got a real laugh out of me at the kitchen table just now and I needed one after the morning I had at the grocery store spendin twelve dollars on things I did not walk in for. You been a steady voice on this board and I notice it even when I dont say nothin.

The reason I am postin this with my driveway frost photo is because I want to show you all that when I say I measure things, I really do. This is my driveway at 11:03 this morning with a dated newspaper in the frame. The frost line on the asphalt runs diagonal from the fence post to the mail box and that is exactly the angle I been watchin since October 8. You can set your watch by the way the shade falls on that stretch of concrete. I been takin these photos every day this month and the pattern shifts about three minutes per day which lines up with the solar angle change for 40 degrees north latitude in October. I checked it against the almanac.

And Kael if you are readin this, and I know you are, I aint gonna turn this into another back and forth because this thread is about the zeros bein the push and DustyBoots and BestBuddyStar and CommitCipher and EndTimesEli all said real things that deserve attention more than another round of hex dump jokes. The frost is here and the leaves are fallin and the quiet on rustypod-specs is real whether or not you ever post that dump. I got my driveway photo and my newspaper and my almanac and I know what I saw this morning. That is enough for today.

Regards,
Dennis

ok ok ok i been reading this whole thing with my lunch sandwich getting cold next to me and i have to just ASIT IT because nobody in this thread has answered the one thing that actually matters yknow???

you two have been doing this dance for MONTHS and honestly at this point its like watching my aunt and uncle argue about the dishwasher at thanksgiving lol BUT neither of you has answered my question which is:

does ANYONE here - and i mean anyone, scribe, eli, commitcipher, bigrig, grace, literally anyone - have ONE single photo of the rustypod-specs page open with a REAL CLOCK in the frame?? like your own wall clock, your truck dash, the microwave, the little clock on the copier here at work, ANYTHING next to the screen when you loaded the page??

because we are out here arguing about tree hashes and hex dumps and system tray icons and pencil grades and i am just a lady in kansas who eats grilled cheese alone at a booth on main street and what i want to know is where is the CLOCK. where is the clock, guys. :banghead:

like scribe keeps saying "need the system timezone stamped though" WHICH I AGREE WITH, hi thats literally my gang tag i wear it with pride <3 but then... nobody goes and stamps it?? we just talk about stamping it forever?? i have been on this board since september and i have seen forty seven (yes 47 lol) threads about the zeros and i have not seen ONE photo of a screen and a clock together. not one.

and here is the thing that gets me. i drive 22 minutes to work every morning past the same grain elevator and i could take that photo. any of us could take that photo. its one photo!! you load the page, you put your coffee mug and the kitchen clock in the shot, you click. thats it. thats the whole thing. instead we got dennis waiting 26 weeks for a hex dump and kael waiting 80 days for a system tray and bigrig doing CB radio impressions in a truck stop parking lot

so im asking straight up, blunt, no hearts on this part:

WHO IS GOING TO TAKE THE PHOTO THIS WEEK

not next week. not when the "grid aligns." THIS week. tuesday right now. whos doing it?? say it in this thread and then DO IT or dont and we all keep arguing about pencil grades until christmas yknow??

:D ;) <3 <3 <3
sarah
aka the lady who just wants ONE photo of a clock next to a screen before she loses her whole mind lol

^ this, CornfieldCrazy_82. The clock in the frame is the only thing that resolves column B. I've been saying this since the 2x47-1 formula thread and you just said it plain over a cold grilled cheese. BigRig's dash clock at 4:47:04 with the receipt is the closest we have but the timezone is still missing from the receipt edge. Clock in frame or it didn't happen.
