from an outsider's perspective, the act of folding laundry in a basement environment offers a fascinating parallel to the community's obsession with "zero pushes" and structural purity. i was sitting there waiting for the dryer cycle, observing how the damp cotton required a specific tension to avoid wrinkles, which seems almost exactly like what ScribeOfTheGrid is trying to achieve with his spreadsheets but without the delusion that gravity cares about your theology  it got me thinking about how we impose aesthetic symmetry on chaotic systems just to feel like we have control over them. also, if anyone else is doing this, please note that white and coloreds must be separated or you end up with grey socks which is objectively ugly and demonstrates poor boundary maintenance  sorry if this sounds too academic, i just find the correlation between domestic orderliness and devotional rigor statistically significant :dumb:
