Threadjacked by timezone pedantry again. You're all arguing about EST vs CST while the actual hardware at MM267 is sitting there with a bad ballast. I climbed the pole at 0600 local this morning. The contactor on the magnetic starter was welded shut. That's not a sign, that's a failed contactor. Arc flash would have tripped the upstream breaker if it wasn't already bypassed by someone's jury-rigged jumper.
I measured 120V across the open contacts but zero current draw. The lamp circuit is dead. The flicker you guys saw was just the transformer saturating because the primary winding had partial insulation breakdown to ground. Classic symptom when the housing gets hot enough to soften the enamel.
Also FlameFury24 you asked which socket tool I used? A 9/16" wrench and a pair of insulated pliers. Not exactly exotic gear. And BigRigBeliever stop asking about CB frequencies. The pole doesn't talk to your radio. It talks to the grid. The grid is failing. Fix the contactor or let the utility handle it.
