Board index » ScribeOfTheGrid - still waiting on 0x47 null explanation from August commit (sha: 4f1a9c7)| ElderProphet07 Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 517 Reputation: -1 ■ Joined: May 12, 2006 From: The Inner Circle (Mailing List Archive) | CommitCipher wrote:DST in 2006 ended April 2 (US) or March 26 (EU). Your July commit is June 30 by the timestamp. August commit is July 28 by the timestamp. Neither date is near a DST transition. Thank you, CommitCipher. I was going to let ScribeOfTheGrid keep digging until he hit China, but since he doubled down in public I shall now note for the record: the August commit is sha 6b8e2d1, which Scribe himself posted as committed August 3 at 01:47:12 UTC. So Scribe's own data disproves Scribe's own "DST correction" claim two ways. First, August 3 is not near any transition. Second, the timestamp ITSELF reads 01:47:12 - and the row he claims was shifted by DST is row 47 at offset 0x47. If a DST correction somehow produces a 47 at every level of the metadata, then verily, that is the opposite of a coincidence Scribe, when you post the thermal sensor calibration sheet that explains the 47-47-47 stack, I'll believe the null is a version mismatch. Until then, it's the same column K theology you've been selling since topic 277 - except now you've added a self-incriminating timestamp as your Exhibit A Gabreil 12:4 - I have kept the faith with more footnotes than thou hast posted. |

Oh we're STILL on this. Three threads of citing row 45 AFTER admitting row 46 in topic 319. Now DST is your excuse? CommitCipher already bodybagged that - neither commit date is within 6 months of a DST transition And EuroTrash_Herr666 just caught you posting the August commit timestamp at 01:47:12 UT by YOUR OWN HAND. You literally timestamped your own null at 1:47 and want us to believe it's a spreadsheet alignment error. The 47 is FOLLOWING YOU, Scribe. You're not running from it, you're leading it by the hand But you know what's funnier? You're in here arguing thermal offset rows while SakuraMirror is in topic 403 posting the same gamma curve for the fifth time without a lot code. At least YOUR contradictions have a spreadsheet. She's got a receipt and a prayer FormatKing__88 I want to see that §2.3.1 diff output too but you're never gonna post it because you drafted those sections in your head during homeroom. BackAgainLikeBadHair said your semicolon is dangling and she's not wrong MODS lock this until Scribe actually answers the row 45/46 question from topic 319. Everything else is noise.

| LyrikUebersetzer Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 1016 Reputation: +13 ■■ Joined: Jun 20, 2006 From: München, Germany (exchange student @ Ohio State) | CommitCipher already proved the DST transition doesn't fall anywhere near either commit date, but I want to add something I checked myself this afternoon that nobody in this thread has addressed yet. I re-aligned the July commit row offsets against the August commit row offsets on my index cards - the same cards I posted the photo of earlier. July commit column K rows 44-46 read 0.142, 0.138, 0.131 with row 47 blank and row 48 reading 0.127. August commit column K rows 44-46 read the same 0.142, 0.138, 0.131 with row 47 blank and row 48 reading 0.127. The blank cell is in the same position in both commits. If DST had shifted the alignment down one row between June and August, as Scribe claimed in topic 363, then the August commit would show the values shifted - either the blank would be at row 46 or row 48, or the values would have moved relative to the blank. They did not. The alignment is identical. The DST explanation is not merely improbable - it is empirically false by Scribe's own posted data. Scribe, you need to either acknowledge this or explain why two commits with supposedly different row alignments show the same values in the same rows with the same blank in the same position. Bitte.

CommitCipher and LyrikUebersetzer just bodybagged your DST excuse from two different angles. CommitCipher proved sha 6b8e2d1 doesn't exist on the rustypod repo and Lyrik proved the row alignment never moved between July and August - same blank cell in both commits. So the null was there in July AND August AND you want us to believe a DST transition that didn't happen between those dates somehow shifted it. That's three contradictions in one thread and you haven't answered the row 45/46 question from topic 319 post #14 where you admitted row 46 was the correct thermal offset then went right back to citing row 45 in topic 314 and 277. I have the screenshots collaged and timestamped. Answer the contradiction or concede the thread.

Let me check that timestamp. August 3 2006 01:47 UTC. DST was active in US (still in effect through October) and EU (through September). So DST is IN EFFECT on your August commit date. Meaning there IS no DST transition between June 30 and August 3 to shift anything. Your own timestamp disproves your claim LyrikUebersetzer wrote:I re-aligned the July commit row offsets against the August commit row offsets on my index cards... The alignment is identical. The DST explanation is not merely improbable - it is empirically false by Scribe's own posted data. ^ this, both of this, ALL of this. CommitCipher and LyrikUebersetzer just did what ScribeOfTheGrid has been dodging for FOUR MONTHS - they actually CHECKED the timestamps and the row alignment and proved the DST excuse is a lie twice over from two different directions. CommitCipher proved the DST transition doesnt even fall between the two commit dates and Lyrik proved the blank row 47 is in the SAME POSITION in both commits so it never shifted at all. That is not a debunk, that is a demolition. And Scribe you responded to CommitCipher asking "what repo did you check" instead of answering the actual question. That is a dodge. You do not get to ask about repo methodology when your own timestamp reads 01:47:12 and you want us to believe row 47 being blank is a spreadsheet error. The number follows you everywhere and you keep calling it a coincidence. I dont usually tell this part but I have been watching this thread since topic 277 and the pattern is the same every time - someone proves the numbers align, you claim methodology error, someone proves the methodology, you claim version mismatch, someone proves the version didnt change, you claim DST, and now DST is disproven so you will claim something else next week. At some point the simplest explanation is that the 47 is real and you are trying to explain away something that doesnt need explaining because it speaks for itself. Lyrik I see your index cards and I believe you. CommitCipher I see your timestamp check and I believe you. The evidence is right there in the open and ScribeOfTheGrid still wont open his eyes to it because opening his eyes would mean admitting column K was never about a spreadsheet error. |

The DST explanation is not merely improbable - it is empirically false by Scribe's own posted data. from an outsider's perspective, the fact that LyrikUebersetzer is using index cards to verify spreadsheet row offsets suggests a profound misunderstanding of how digital data persists across versions. as a neutral observer, i must point out that if the values are identical in rows 44-46 and 48 in both commits, then obviously no "shift" occurred - because a shift would imply movement, not stasis. this is basic logic, though i understand it may be challenging for those accustomed to finding meaning in blank cells. :rolleyes LurkingObserver42 | Anthropology Major | "The data does not care about your feelings." |

CommitCipher and LyrikUebersetzer just bodybagged your DST excuse from two different angles. Not buying it. Not buying ANY of Scribe's "version mismatch" angle at this point. LyrikUebersetzer brought index cards to a git log fight and somehow produced the clearest evidence in the whole thread - same blank cell row position in BOTH commits meaning the alignment never shifted. Even my sister (who usually defends the "give him time" position) says Scribe dug his own hole by posting that timestamp screenshot because it ends in :47 which is the exact number he's trying to explain away as a coincidence. You can't timestamp your own null at 1:47 and then claim the 47 everywhere else is a DST artifact. CommitCipher already proved DST doesn't even touch August dates. [sisi think Scribe is just stubborn not dishonest - J says stubborn IS dishonest when you've been asked the same question since topic 277 and keep pretending new spreadsheets will fix it. we're agreeing for once] EuroTrash_Herr666 wrote:scribo. you are asking what repo commitcipher checked. you posted the sha. you dont know which repo it lives in. ^ this.
