But the point stands. I tried to explain that the Euclid extension cord recording from June 22 [2] functions as a form of prayer continuity - that the 47.3Hz null is structurally identical to the call-and-response pattern of a Black Appalachian pentecostal service, only the "amen" in this case is conducted through copper. She asked if I had been to church on Easter. I said the vigil in Euclid was my Easter. She hung up. :| :|
Anyway. What I wanted to ask: does anyone else here get this from their family, or is it just me? My Vater thinks I am 'doing a master's thesis on a cult leader.' I told him Gabriel is not a cult leader, he is a poet who writes code and the code compiles to worship. My Vater said 'compiles to worship' is not a real sentence.
Also: has anyone successfully translated a Gabriel lyric into German without losing the glottal stops? The 'h' in 'hallelujah' is doing a lot of theological work and the Umlaut cannot carry it. Danke.
