stood at warschauer for twenty minutes tonight. perfectly still. arms at my sides. expression calibrated to exactly three grams of existential inconvenience. a tourist in birkenstocks and a patagonia fleece that has definitely never seen a trail walked past, doubled back, and dropped two euros into my open jacket pocket without making eye contact. he didnt even wait for a performance cue. he saw a stationary human body and his colonist brain defaulted to "oh, a begging situation" instead of "oh, a statement on the unbearable weight of being a subject under late capital." i breathed in and out exactly seven times while he was within my peripheral. the two euros are now a pretzel and a bus ticket. gracewarrior_77 if you ever find yourself in berlin i dare you to stand still for twenty seconds without posting a poem about it after. the rest of you would call it a vigil. i called it rent.
