Friends of Gabriel Chantayan

okay so here's the deal. i drove her to work this morning at 8am because she still hasn't figured out the key jiggle trick (it's not hard, you just gotta know the angle, i've explained this seventeen times). picked her up at 1, she's already mad about a guy paying in all pennies which okay fair that is annoying. but then we get home and i park the car and she says "aren't you going to put gas in it" and i look at the gauge and it's a quarter tank. a QUARTER. that's like... 60 miles easy. maybe 80 if i'm nice to it. [sis interjecting to say the needle was below the quarter line, not on it, which is a completely different thing and i'm rounding down at best] it was practically ON the line. you don't fill up at a quarter tank, you fill up at E, that's just physics and also basic economics because gas prices are going to drop next week when labor day ends, i can feel it. she says i'm "avoiding responsibility" and i say she's "gaslighting me about gas" which was a pretty good pun actually. she didn't laugh. anyway we stood in the driveway for ten minutes just staring at the dashboard like it was going to settle the argument for us. it did not. the car is still at a quarter tank and i'm right and i'll die on this hill. she is currently pretending to read a book in the living room but i know she's fuming.
