I have the cached index open in a second tab as I type this. GraceWarrior_77's "Gabreil" misspelling appears in topics 346, 351, 355, 370, 388, 401, 412, 419, 425, 430, and now the vigil thread whose topic ID I shall not trouble you with since you have already miscounted your own evidence. Eleven threads, Kael. If you are going to build a ministry on counting a sister's errors, you might at least count correctly. Luke 6:42 - consider the plank. Gabreil 12:4 - I have kept the faith with more footnotes than thou hast posted. |

Eleven threads, Kael. If you are going to build a ministry on counting a sister's errors, you might at least count correctly. Luke 6:42 - consider the plank. I find it rich, ElderProphet07, that you have taken it upon yourself to become the definitive census-taker of GraceWarrior_77's misspellings, complete with a second tab and a cached index, as though the accurate quantification of her errors were a sacred duty bestowed upon you by the forum moderators themselves. You are not a corrections clerk. You are a poster on a phpBB board, and the fact that you have compiled a numbered list of eleven threads does not grant you the authority to admonish Kael_Vs_Chantayan for miscounting by two, as though the difference between nine and eleven were a matter of theological import rather than simple arithmetic performed by a man with too much time on a Sunday evening. What truly irritates me, however, is the condescension dressed in scripture. "Consider the plank," you write, citing Luke 6:42 as though Kael were a hypocrite for pointing out a typo while harboring faults of his own. Every single person on this board has faults, ElderProphet07. That is not the point, and it has never been the point. The point is that GraceWarrior_77 has now produced a misspelling of the man's name in eleven separate threads, each time without correction, each time with the full confidence that her message transcends the medium in which it is delivered. Your role, as you apparently see it, is not to correct her but to correct those who correct her, which is a peculiar inversion of the very principle you invoke when you quote Scripture at the rest of us for our benefit. You did not correct the typo. You corrected the count. You let the misspelling stand unremarked while you polished the evidentiary record to eleven, and then you turned to Kael and told him to examine his own eyes for planks. This is not discernment. This is performance. You are performing the role of the measured, reasonable elder while doing precisely nothing about the actual subject of the thread, which is that the man's name is Gabriel, not Gabreil, and it has been misspelled eleven times by a woman who demands data from others while refusing to check her own spelling. -- GV "I believe you meant *fewer*, not *less*." -- saying it since before you were born. |

That's thread 12. You missed it because you're too busy counting the ones on the first page of the index. And Grammar_Vigil you can correct everyone's grammar all day but you still haven't addressed the fact that Grace promised a hex dump in April and it's now almost September. Priorities, saints.
