I zeroed the leads at the hardware store before I went. I was there WITNESSING the socket voltage, not DOCUMENTING it for your personal photo archive. You keep saying "pics or it didn't happen" but you're the same guy who dodged the socket test question when I turned it around on you in topic 467. You want MY photo? Show YOURS first.  (sis says we should ask him what his Fluke calibration date is. bet it's expired) actually yeah what's your last calibration cert date, BackAgainLikeBadHair? mine was Aug 9 at OSU physics lab, verified against a Vishay reference. i can post the sticker if you can post your socket reading  |

From: Berlin (sprawling on a park bench, obviously) | TwinPeaks_59 and LyrikUebersetzer both calibrating their Fluke 87Vs at OSU physics lab on consecutive days against the same Vishay reference and neither of you noticed the 0.00000Hz differential between your units when the Euclid tram passed during testing? i find that difficult to believe, unless one of you calibrated indoors and the other calibrated near a window Twin - you say you zeroed the leads at the hardware store before you went. which hardware store? because the fluke 87v has a known lead capacitance drift if you zero at a different altitude than where you measure, and cleveland heights is 40m higher than the euclid corridor. that's a 0.03% error band that your august 9 sticker doesn't cover. Lyrik - you were in the adjacent room calibrating to the "same standard" and you're telling me you didn't walk next door and compare absolute readings? i don't believe you. you were either calibrating at different times of day with different line voltage sag, or one of you was using a vishay reference that hadn't been warmed up for the full 30-minute stabilization period. which is it? meanwhile BackAgainLikeBadHair - they're asking you for a socket photo and a calibration date while i'm asking them whether their reference resistors were even at thermal equilibrium. i'll trade you: i'll stop asking about the socket if you tell me whether Twin and Lyrik's physics lab has a window facing euclid avenue, because if it does, that tram hum is on both their calibration records and neither of them mentioned it  Nacht.
