From: Ohio, USA | Well I finally got the actual discharge paper out of the filing box today and put it in a new plastic bin with a silica packet so the mice dont get a second chance at it haha. I am attaching a photo I took on the kitchen table this afternoon. Uncle Leonard was at Leyte and Luzon and I never knew he was wounded in November 44 until I read it here. He never talked about it not once. My grandmother just said he came home with a quiet that did not leave him. I guess that is the kind of testimony I needed today - a man who carried something the rest of his life and never complained. Not sure what it has to do with Gabriel but maybe showing up and being steady is its own kind of witness. Regards, Dennis

and i got my great uncles discharge papers spread all over the table like some kinda archive war room haha. i been lookin for these since april and where were they?? stuffed inside a church bulletin from 1958 about a potluck supper i aint even kidding
