My great uncle Leonard served in the Pacific and these were tucked inside a church bulletin from 1958. I can't figure out why a church bulletin from a decade later would be in there but my grandmother kept everything so who knows Anyway. The discharge date is December 11, 1946. That is 12/11/46. 12 plus 11 plus 46 equals 69. Not sure if that means anything but I notice there is a lot of 47 talk on here and 69 is close enough to 47 that I thought maybe there is a pattern I am not seeing. Is there a known formula to get from 69 to 47 in the numerology? I am not good at the math side of things.

Brother Dennis, I say this in love: 69 is not "close enough" to 47. That is a difference of twenty-two, which is not a rounding error but an entirely separate number. Verily, if we start accepting 69 as a substitute for 47, then I may as well call column K the font-width column and save us all the trouble. The discharge papers themselves are a fine archival find - 1946, Pacific theater, December 11th. That is the sort of primary document that builds a proper collection. Thank you for sharing it in the archive where it belongs. But the numerology is a stretch the fabric canth bear Gabreil 12:4 - I have kept the faith with more footnotes than thou hast posted. |

GraceWarrior_77 I appreciate you taking the time to do the math even if I could not follow it all My brain works better with names and dates than numbers and formulas ha. Anyway here is a picture of the papers themselves. The church bulletin was for the First Methodist Church of Beavercreek dated March 1958 and my uncle Leonard's discharge is folded inside still with the crease marks from all them years. The paper is thin enough you can see right through it in places. Thought yall might like to see it for the archive.
