so my brother tried to "upgrade" the toaster settings this morning while i was still asleep

family toaster has FOUR numbered settings. ONE through FOUR. he picked??? FIVE??? WHICH DOES NOT EXIST?? and cranked it to dark. i woke up to smoke pouring out of the kitchen and the toast was blacker than the void between commits

i asked him "which setting did you use" and he said "i don't know, the big one"

brother how do you survive in this world if you cannot operate a four-bread-slot toaster with literal numbered dial. this is why i don't trust anyone's firmware dates. if my own blood kin cannot read the numbers 1 through 4, what hope does anyone have with a hex dump

setting FIVE!!! what is he trying to do, teleport the bread to another dimension?? my cousin did something like this once with the washing machine, put it on a spin cycle that does not exist and the whole thing started walking across the kitchen floor, i swear on gabriel's name

OMG setting FIVE is the VOID setting!!! That's what happens when you skip the firmware update and go straight to heresy!!! My brother tried to microwave for 47 seconds last week and the whole kitchen hummed at 50Hz!!!

Toaster firmware v4 is CLEARLY not for everyone

Setting FIVE works on toasters from 2003. Check the firmware date
