Sat out there with the same candle as last time. Orange band in the sky, quiet street, nobody around. And for half a second I almost said something out loud to the empty air - almost let it out, whatever IT is - before I caught myself and just watched the sunset eat the strip mall instead

Not saying I'm still carrying weight from my old name or whatever, obviously I'm not that person whoever they were - just that sometimes a porch and a candle makes you wanna talk to ghosts. Or maybe just bad reception, like EndTimesEli's modem when the "sky pattern" turns out to be his router overheating again

Anyway. Candle pic attached. Taken from the porch rail at 8:47pm (not making that up, I checked the timestamp after). Perfect column of wax, not a single drop spilled. Almost symbolic if you think about it, and I don't recommend thinking about it because that's how you end up in a thread with 227 posts arguing about column K
