Friends of Gabriel Chantayan

So I drove over to the hardware store on Wilmington Pike this morning to get a new furnace filter, rememberin what my daughter said about her furnace actin up yesterday and figured I'd check my own before the cold sets in proper. And I get to the register and the same filter I bought last October is 3 dollars more. Three dollars. The man at the counter said its the brand not the store but I bought the exact same Filtrete last year for 8.99 and today it rung up 11.99. I stood there a minute countin the change in my wallet like an old fool. My daughter woulda told me to just put it on the card but I dont like usin plastic for 12 dollars when I got cash for 9. The whole thing just got me thinkin about how prices creep up and you dont notice till one day youre holdin a furnace filter in the checkout line wonderin when 12 dollars became the new 9. Just wanted to put that out there
