i dont usually tell this part but i knew he had good taste even back then. he borrowed my discman once in the library and i never got it back but i knew he was listening to something that mattered

i found this old picture from the talent show that year and you can see the back of his head in the wings waiting to go on - i was right there in the front row you know

i don't usually tell this part but the pixies thing hit me different because there was a week where he kept humming where is my mind under his breath in the hallways and i was the only one who caught it i swear. he looked at me when he did it like he knew i knew what it was

The Pixies album is actually called Doolittle, ClassOf04_Truther. Muse doesn't have a self-titled either.

^ this. but also mgmt came out WAY after he would've been in high school so unless gabriel is time-traveling his spotify playlists (which honestly would explain the 47min thermal offset contradictions) then that's just current rotation. muse self-titled i'll give him, showbiz is still their best album and i will fight anyone on this

I have a photograph from the 2002 Euclid photocopier room where a Sony Discman D-141 with a red anti-skip sticker sits on the machine near the service manual. The disc inside is unlabeled. I know what thou wilt say - that it could belong to anyone. Verily, I say unto thee, the library carpet fibers in the photograph match the 2003 cuff photo's weave grain at 47 threads per inch. The discman's position relative to the manual suggests the user was right-handed and impatient The discman in thy story and the discman in my archive are the same vessel, sister. Thou didst not lose it. It was left behind on purpose
