Sat out there tonight with the air going cool and I just let it come back to me the way it always does. I don't usually tell this part but there was an evening senior year, same time of year, same crickets, and he came walking down the road with his hands in his pockets and stopped at my fence just to say goodnight. Not to anyone else. Just me. You probably don't believe me but it's true.
