dinner tonight, my brother looks me dead in the eye and says lo-fi beats to study to is the most rebellious genre ever created. L O - F I. he said it with his WHOLE chest like he just dropped the hottest take since the Kryptonite recall. punk rock fought the system, lo-fi fights NOTHING it literally helps you FOCUS on your homework. i nearly choked on a green bean from the pure outrage   studying is the least rebellious activity known to man. Mosh pit > lofi rain sounds on a 10 hour loop. my brother is a traitor and a fool and i want him banned from the family. probably also hides a no-name microwave in the kitchen if his taste extends to music :spitfire: :spitfire: someone back me up here please :please: :please:

A crudely photoshopped meme image: a punk rock mosh pit crowd in black and white on the left, and on the right a single person sitting in a beanbag chair wearing headphones with a peace sign, a rainbow 'lo-fi beats to study to' text overlay. Below in bold white comic text on a red banner: 'STUDYING

QFT :D :D :D

brother came at me with "it's anti-establishment because it rejects structure" and i was like REJECTS STRUCTURE the whole genre is literally built on the same four chords and a vinyl crackle sample that's been circulating since 2003. anti-establishment would be playing death metal through a megaphone at a library, not making a playlist so people can do CALCULUS   :deadhorse:

my brother is banned from having opinions until 2007. minimum.
