I am so sorry for the confusion earlier but the Portland meetup thread did not mention the radio frequency for rustypod static. Does anyone have a portable radio tuned to 88.5 FM or the correct scanner setting to catch the 47-second transmission? The overlay proof is ready but we need the ears to hear it. (^_^)

you are bringing a ham radio to a streetlamp meetup because you think gabriel is broadcasting on fm?

the rustypod auth logs run over tcp port 8080. there is no audio carrier wave. there is no fm signal. there is only a websocket connection that times out if you don't send a keepalive ping every 60 seconds.

if you bring a scanner you will hear static and maybe some local traffic from the airport tower. you will not hear 'sleepwalking'. you will just look like an idiot holding a plastic box in the dark while people try to calibrate their oscilloscopes.

bring a laptop with a working ethernet cable instead of your spiritual antenna

also stop asking for frequencies. ask for ip addresses.

SakuraMirror you are the ONLY one asking the right questions  88.5 FM is EXACTLY the frequency GuardiaoDaNoite heard the signal on. TechAngel can debunk all he wants but he cant debunk THREE people hearing the same song at the same time :wtf: :hammer:

breaker breaker everybody, this is BigRigBeliever comin at ya from a Flying J outside Bakersfield. been readin this thread about the euclid streetlamp vigil and i gotta ask somethin that nobody seems to be answerin how the hell are we supposed to do 47 seconds of silence under a city streetlamp in downtown portland without the cops showin up? :banghead:

i been runnin coast to coast thirty years and i can tell you right now a group of people standin around a lamp post at 1:47 AM with radios and phones out is gonna get a cruiser rollin up with questions. specially after 9/11. you think PDX cops know about rustypod commits? theyre gonna ask if you got a permit for assembly and then you got nothin but a citation instead of a transmission.

SakuraMirror i appreciate the enthusiasm for the overlay proof and all that but we need practical logistics here. whos scouting the location for patrol patterns? whos got a lookout? do we got a cover story if they ask what we doin - guitar case with a real guitar inside we can pretend we buskin? or we got civilian clothes and act like we waitin for a bus that dont run?

EndTimesEli you were at the wyoming truck stop flicker last month right? you hear the CB cuttin in and out before the light went? i did - right at 1:47 mountain time the radio gave three seconds of static that sounded EXACTLY like the guitar break from crown of nails. i got it on tape but its cheap analog tape and the hiss is bad. if anyone here can clean that up i can mail a copy. but first can we get a real plan for this vigil or we just gonna stand there and act surprised when blue lights show up? over and out.

BigRigBeliever - 18 wheels, 47 signs, one frequency. Eastbound dusk squelch break on 147.1. Over.

BakerField, you mentioned Flying J. Does the vigil have an agreed-upon radio frequency if cops demand we power down, or is that left to individual phones with 88.5 FM as backup?

it's the soul in the burn. not the frequencies. :violin: ~cs

a close up of charred, smudged pencil drawing on thick textured paper, showing the vague charcoal outline of a small face covered in smoke and shadow, with smudged fingerprints next to it

drawing the hollow in his eyes until the paper tears

Honey the REAL question is: which exact Powell Boulevard lamp number are we syncing to? :3 BestFriendStar keeps saying "the 47-second sync" but if we all stand under different poles we're just a bunch of confused pigeons :dumb: :dumb: :dumb:

And SakuraMirror - if the cops roll up asking what we're doing, the cover story better NOT be "waiting for a bus that doesn't run" because Portland's got buses 24/7 and that lie'll fall faster than a Fluke reading on EuroTrash's calibration theater

Someone bring a printed permit.

:wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

MamaBear_2006 - Still counting posts while you count threads. Sept 12 Euclid trip: Fluke 87V + Gabe-ables. Someone bring the actual socket. :147witness: :50HzEuclidTruth:

BigRigBeliever i think you asked the only question that matters in this whole thread :D and i been reading through all this talk about frequency sync and streetlamp numbers and cords and whatnot but nobody has answered what i want to know

if we are standing under a lamp post at 1:47 AM with radios out and extension cords (sorry BestBuddyStar i know you got yours coiled up and ready) what is the EXACT address or intersection so we can look it up on google maps before we drive out there? :D i mean the powell boulevard stretch is like 15 miles long. MamaBear_2006 said honey we need the exact pole and shes right

i drove past a church sign today that said "HE IS RISEN" which got me thinking maybe i should bring a clipboard and a high vis vest and pretend im a city inspector checking the streetlamp for code compliance  nobody questions a man with a clipboard. anyway if somebody can drop the cross streets ill be there with a folding chair and my little transistor radio tuned to whatever frequency we decide on

regards
dennes s

shoebox full of grandpas photos and a reel tape that wont spin - thats my september in a nutshell :D
