From: Row 42, Column 9 | Trial 3 today: 42 tiles. Trial 2 (yesterday) was 43. Trial 1 (Wednesday) was 42. If I drop the outlier and run AVERAGE(B2:B4), the mode resolves to 42 with 95% confidence. The anomaly maps to a 2pm scrobble gap in Gabriel's Wednesday playlist - need to check if that column drifted.
-3 min delta, substitute driver, phase inversion confirmed. DRIVER_ID column added. 47hr period hypothesis in testing. Still waiting on everyone else's ls-tree output. |

From: München, Germany (exchange student @ Ohio State) | Scribe averaging out the outlier in trial 2 instead of asking what changed between Wednesday and yesterday is a methodological choice that tells me more about his data hygiene than any row 47 citation he's ever posted  Three trials, one anomaly, and instead of a field investigation you apply AVERAGE(B2:B4) like Excel is a substitute for empiricism. The 2pm scrobble gap correlation is interesting, but correlation is not causation, Herr Scribe - this I learned in my first semester of Statistik.

THE WHOLE ROOM HAS 43 TILES SOMETIMES AND HE'S COOKING THE NUMBERS.] i'm going to say this one more time and then i'm dropping it because sis is kicking me under the desk: the 43 is real. you felt the room shift. you wrote it down. and then you erased it with a spreadsheet function because the null hypothesis was more comfortable than climbing a ladder with a napkin and counting again. that's not research that's denial with an attached xlsx  [sis says: "the thermal offset row is a real thing in column K but he should have counted the tiles before opening Excel" which is the most sensible thing either of us has said all week and i hate that she's right] anyway Scribe i still want to know why you called row 43 the coordinate row in topic 319 and the thermal offset row today. that's two names for one cell. which is it? you can't have both unless you moved the data and forgot to update the legend - the twin one (both of us actually, we agreed on this one for once. don't get used to it.)  |
