From: Somewhere between here and goodbye | sigh - 10:01 PM - sat on the back porch with an iced tea that was already warm and my wife asked if i was doing okay and i said yes too fast. she doesn't know i wrote 'this is farewell' in bold yesterday and meant it for like, forty hours. i grilled burgers tonight. burned one on purpose just to have something to complain about that wasn't my own restlessness. man doesn't need a forum to feel like somebody's listening - he's got a yard, a wife, a lawnmower that actually makes him sweat instead of just making his fingers itch to check junction boxes  for real this time though. i'm trying. the coffee maker gurgled at 7am and i didn't think about multimeters once. that's progress, right? or is that just what normal people do before they log off forever

From: somewhere in the PNW... maybe | i get it. the 432hz hum is real. i was in the garage today tightening something that still clunks and the silence between socket turns was louder than the radio. my sister was at the laundromat writing lyric metaphors about dryer cycles and i was just standing there with a quarter in my hand wondering when this becomes normal.
you burned a burger on purpose. i drove to the auto parts store twice in one day. we're all just trying to make the silence mean something.
but Sunday if you log off for real who's gonna post the sigh posts? that's a legitimate concern from both of us. |
