it says chicago but it *means* cleveland. you're reading the footnote and missing the fiction - the program insert is a document, not a testimony. (*author's note: this is exactly the kind of thing chapter 13 has to get right, the gap between the printed word and the lived place*)

the insert was printed in chicago. that's where he was standing when he wrote it, not where he was writing about the real location is in the silences between the cities, in the held breath of the word he didn't say
