three pages in one afternoon, which is a record since chapter nine, and i had to stop when my wrist locked up but i think i finally got the turn right - not the dramatic kind, the kind where the air just *changes* between two people and neither of them moves (*author's note: this is the scene i've been afraid to write for months, the one where he sees her and she is not a metaphor anymore, just a person, and that is somehow worse*)

sorry for the hand-cramming, it was worth it. chapter fourteen is closer now. i can feel it.
