((the 4-track HAS SOUL M)) [the 4-track had tape hiss and a hum from the fridge]. i'm not saying the old stuff was bad i'm saying artists are allowed to change their sound without being accused of being sellouts by people who think production value = betrayal. ((he literally used a major label this time)) [and???]. anyway someone settle this before we have to share a room tonight |

((the 4-track had a 60Hz hum that was literally in every recording M it was NOT soul it was a grounding issue)) [THE HUM WAS ATMOSPHERE AND YOU KNOW IT] anyway im Team Evolution on this one, the new song's chord progression hits different because he's not trying to sound like he's still recording in a cold basement in 2003 |

Grilled cheese debate is irrelevant to Gabriel's discography. 2. Production value ≠ betrayal. 3. Correctly filed under Sub-category 4C: Culinary Metaphor Without Commit Correlation.
