so tonight at dinner it was grilled cheese (because we are mature adults who can cook obviously) and we got into it about the new song. i'm saying the chord progression alone shows he's evolving, it's not selling out it's MATURING - ((or he just wanted a hit)) [sis stop putting words in my mouth] anyway the new stuff has this texture to it that the old raw recordings didn't have and thats not bad it's different but bro here thinks if it's not recorded on a 4-track in someone's basement it's not real art. ((the 4-track HAS SOUL M)) [the 4-track had tape hiss and a hum from the fridge]. i'm not saying the old stuff was bad i'm saying artists are allowed to change their sound without being accused of being sellouts by people who think production value = betrayal. ((he literally used a major label this time)) [and???]. anyway someone settle this before we have to share a room tonight
